Mission Statement

To make an impact with our players as role models to our community. To promote and develop excellence in club soccer based on the values of skill, sportsmanship, and maturity at all times.

In today’s competitive environment, the difference between success and failure can be inches, seconds or plain old desire. When preparation is peaked and desire is at its greatest, the chances for success are greatly enhanced. In order prepare properly, champions need the proper training, top facilities and an environment that promotes growth through positive reinforcement.

Introduction

Laguna Hills Soccer Club Eclipse was founded on the tradition and continuation of the legacy of championship soccer teams and athletes trained by Abner Rogers and his staff that began over 20 years ago in Southern California . Abner Rogers has trained over 150 girls and women soccer players who now compete not only in top college soccer programs throughout the country, but also will be competing in the new Womens Professional League (WPS) as well as compete in our US National teams around the world. Making this link stronger, Abner Rogers (Eclipse Technical Director) was appointed Head Coach of the Los Angeles WPS team to be based at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.

Eclipse is comprised of 15 girls teams in age groups from U8 through U19 years of age. Many of the teams in the Club are highly distinguished as the League Champions in their respective age groups, in addition to numerous championships won in prestigious tournaments. Most notable, is our Girls Under 16 White Team who captured the GU-15 National Championship in 2002 and repeated the feat as GU – 18 in 2005!

The Laguna Hills Eclipse is proud to be partnered by Adidas who outfit all our players and coaches as well as help with the running of the Eclipse College Showcase and Eclipse Winter Cup through product and sponsorship as well as with the Eclipse Annual Banquet providing auction items and guest speakers.

Training Facilities & Coachin

The success of good training is based on the training facilities, the experience of the coaching and training staff, and a comprehensive program to develop the athletes and skills so they can compete at their highest level possible.

Eclipse has retained on staff a highly respected group of coaches. All of the training is conducted by professionally licensed coaches. All training is overseen by Abner Rogers and Neil Powell to insure the development of soccer skills is maintained at its highest level.

All coaches have successful track records coaching teams that have competed at championship levels in their respective leagues, tournaments, state cup, and national competitions.
